Final Reflection

1) My favorite assignment was scratch. It is an animation program. In sketch up, we made video games and stories using animated characters. I made a cool story that eventually turns into a maze game.

2)--Scratch allows you to be extremely creative-- your options on what you can do are virtually limitless!
--You can't really communicate in Scratch. Unless you post it online to share with others. You can collaborate with Scratch I suppose, but you have to use the same computer-- this program is best with one person!
-- I wouldn't use Scratch to display information I researched. It is best used for fun, not information!
--Scratch takes a lot of critical thinking! You have to think and be careful to make everything function how it should!!
--Scratch could be a place to solve problems..... I think that in creating a Scratch, you create your own problems on how to make something work the way you want. Then you solve the ones you make! :)
--Digital Citizenship is always a factor every time you turn on a computer. However, in Scratch, you don't have much responsibility, because it isn't online.
--You have to be pretty smart to use Scratch and really make cool things! I think if you put some effort into it, you can learn a lot from Scratch!

3)I learned a few things. I learned a few tricks on how to make technology do what you want. I also learned that programs used to make video games aren't as complicated as I may think!

4)I am most proud of my final project, because I put a lot of work and time into it and really like my final outcome!!

Validation

Validation was about one man who worked as a parking validation man. He always had something nice to say about everyone that came to get validated, and soon, everyone wanted to see him. He said nice things about many people, like George Bush and Saddam Hussein, and made lots of people smile. One day though, he went to get his drivers license and was told he couldn't smile. He thought that was crazy and tried really hard to make the girl that wouldn't take his picture smile; she wouldn't. That made him really sad and now he wouldn't smile. Since he didn't smile, he also didn't say nice things about the people that came to get validated. That got him fired and he walked around for a few days. One day, a couple asked him to take their picture and he made them smile. He then got a job taking pictures of people because he also got the biggest smiles from them. He went back to the dmv one day, because a man was smiling on his driver's license to find that the girl was gone-- she got a job taking pictures of people for their passports, and making them smile. He went to see her and she said something nice about him. He found out the reason she was smiling is because he got her mom to smile in one of the pictures he took. She was the first person to ever say anything nice about him and they got married.

I liked that the man got something nice said about him at the end of the story. It was also a humorous story, because things like this don't really happen. However, I think people could be way more nice to others and it would make the world a "happier" place.

Photo Manipulation

<<---This is the original image....

<<---This is the image I made from the original

I used alot of features on fotoflexer to manipulate my photo. To make the colors of the characters skin change, I first darkened the contrast of the photo. Then I went into effects and changed the effect to invert and darkened it even further. To make Jake look mad, I just used a rotation effect to turn up his mouth. I did the same to Nytiri to make her eyes and nose look big and deformed. Oh, and lastly I used an array of coloring effects to change the character's hair red.
